A law firm is seeking a Litigation Of Counsel to join their team in Boston, MA. The role involves overseeing complex litigation matters, specializing in product liability and commercial litigation within the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.Job Overview:
The Litigation Of Counsel will provide strategic guidance, oversee case development, and ensure effective client communication throughout the litigation process.Duties:
Communicate directly with clients to understand case objectives and provide updates.Supervise and mentor associates, guiding case strategy and development.Collaborate with experts and consultants to strengthen case arguments and evidence.Assist in fact development and preparation for depositions.Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and legal memoranda.Contribute to the development of case strategy and tactics.Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum of 8+ years of litigation experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm.Specialization:
Experience in product liability and complex commercial litigation is required; familiarity with the pharmaceutical and medical device industries is preferred.Skills:
Strong analytical and writing skills, attention to detail, and sound business judgment.Communication:
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.Education:
JD degree from a nationally recognized law school; additional degrees such as MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology are advantageous.Licenses:
Admission to practice law in New York; admission to practice in Massachusetts preferred.Certifications:
Admission to practice law in Massachusetts.Skills:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Demonstrated research, problem-solving, and conceptual thinking abilities.Effective management and leadership capabilities, fostering positive work relationships.Additional Requirements:
