Litigation Of Counsel

A law firm in San Juan is seeking an experienced Litigation Of Counsel with 8+ years of experience, preferably gained at an AmLaw 100 firm. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, including a JD from a nationally recognized school, and hold admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction. An MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology degree is preferred. This role requires expertise in products liability and/or complex commercial litigation, with experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries considered a plus. The Litigation Of Counsel will oversee associates, collaborate with experts, and assist in case strategy development.Duties:Communicate effectively with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.Supervise associates and provide guidance on case-related tasks.Collaborate with experts and assist with fact development and depositions.Review and draft discovery responses, briefs, motions, and memoranda.Assist in developing case strategy and preparing for litigation.Utilize strong analytical and writing skills to produce high-quality work.Demonstrate attention to detail, good business judgment, and excellent organizational skills.Work collaboratively within a team environment and independently when necessary.Conduct legal research, analyze complex issues, and provide strategic advice.Effectively manage workload to meet deadlines and expectations.Maintain compliance with firm policies and practices.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a nationally recognized law school.Strong academic credentials.MD, MPH, PharmD, or Epidemiology degree preferred.Admission to practice law in the jurisdiction where applying; New York admission encouraged.8+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.Experience with products liability and/or complex commercial litigation.Familiarity with the pharmaceutical and medical device industries is advantageous.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Advanced research and problem-solving abilities.Conceptual thinking and ability to influence others.Persuasive communication and management skills.Job Location:San JuanExperience:8+ years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.Benefits Offered:Competitive salary and benefits package.Medical, dental, and vision coverage.401(k) with matching.Flexible spending account and health savings account options.Long-term and short-term disability insurance.Life, AD&D, and additional voluntary life insurance for staff and family.
