Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join their team. As a Desktop Support Technician, you will be part of the IT department supporting end users in both office and manufacturing settings. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, technical proficiency in Microsoft Windows OS, and experience in network technologies.

What's the Job?
Provide 1st level support for 100 end users in a mix of office and manufacturing settings
Install, test, monitor, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of computer systems
Create and maintain user accounts
Investigate issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity
Perform virus and malware prevention, removal, and mitigation
Perform occasional network and server-related tasks, including basic server maintenance, such as replacing failed drives
Install CAT5e cabling as needed
Address network issues and support technologies, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, routing, and TCP/IP
What's Needed?
Ability to work both in a team environment and independently as needed, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees of all levels, including managers and directors
Available to work after hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
Technically proficient in operating and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows OS
Understanding of PC hardware maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
Experience with network technologies such as DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, routing, and TCP/IP
