Location: Milpitas, CA
Hours: 8am - 4:30pm
Pay Rate: $25-$26/hr
SUMMARY
1st level support for 100 end users in a mix of office and manufacturing settings. Responsible for installing, testing, monitoring, upgrading, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of computer systems. Responsible for account creation and maintenance. Assists staff by investigating issues related to hardware, software and network connectivity. Occasional network and server related tasks, as needed. Relies on knowledge and experience to complete tasks. Works under general supervision for task prioritization and goal setting, but is responsible for managing and keeping track of day to day tasks and other projects. Responsible for maintaining inventory of deployed and available systems. Works with users and IT team to prioritize support requests, to quickly resolve the most critical issues.
SKILLSAbility to work both in a team environment and independently as needed, handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to interact with employees of all levels, including managers and directors.Available to work after hours, weekends, and holidays as neededTechnically proficient in operating and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows OS.Virus and malware prevention, removal, and mitigation.Understanding of PC hardware maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.Ability to perform basic server maintenance, such as replacing failed drives.Experience with CAT5e cabling installation.Understanding of network technologies including DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, routing, and TCP/IP.Minimum of 2 years relevant experience. Bachelor's degree preferred.
