Position Overview:
Established Women’s RTW client has immediate opening for First Patternmaker to join their team.
This position plays a key role in the design and production process, working closely with cross-functional teams which include design, technical, and merchandising to ensure the final product standards and oversee first patterns.
Seeking patternmaker who has deep understanding of garment construction, pattern grading.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and create accurate first patterns based on designer sketches, tech packs, and specifications.• Collaborate with designers, sample makers, cutters and technical teams to ensure all patterns reflect the intended design vision.• Modify and adjust patterns throughout the design process• Participate in fittings with designers to resolve any pattern, fit, or design issues.• Create first patterns that take into account fabric fit, construction, and manufacturing• Maintain and organize digital and physical pattern libraries
Skills:
• Experience with Modaris, Lectra preferred, if worked on other pattern programs• Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and fit.• Proficiency in pattern drafting, grading, and adjustments.• Understands fitting techniques and problem solve• Ability to create detailed technical specifications and communicate effectively with production teams.
Salary up to $80k
