Controller vacancy within a specialist healthcare organization with HQ in Fort Lauderdale
A PE backed healthcare organization in Fort Lauderdale are looking to recruit a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. The Financial Controller will report directly into the CFO and will inherit a team of 4.
The position will be based in the Fort Lauderdale area and will be a site based position, due to the requirement of the Financial Controller to business partner with key internal stakeholders.
The key responsibilities of the Financial Controller will include but will not be limited to:
Oversight of the finance team of 4Completion of the monthly close process including the production of full financial statementsEnsure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements in accordance with US GAAPMonthly completion of analysis and financial reporting including board presentationsDevelop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and internal controlsBusiness partner with key internal stakeholders and articulate financial performanceCollaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process alongside the CFOOwn the company cashflow and banking processesSupport the CFO with longer term strategic planning including budgeting and forecastingAd hoc duties and reporting when required
The ideal Financial Controller will:
Hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field, however CPA is highly desiredHave proven experience of leading a team within operational financeHave practical experience of working within the healthcare sector - multisite experience is advantageousHave owned the monthly close process and production of the financial statementsBe a strong systems user including CRM, ERP and Excel platforms SAP or Netsuite experience would be preferrablePosses strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholdersBe willing to work onsite in the Fort Lauderdale area
This is an opportunity for a Financial Controller with experience within the healthcare sector to join a growth centric, private equity backed business. The CFO is seeking a Financial Controller who will be site based and be able to lead the current team of 4.
The business are offering up to $155,000 per annum, plus 401K, healthcare, generous PTO and other company specific benefits to the successful Financial Controller.
