Overview:The Senior Paralegal will provide comprehensive support to the Managing Partner, focusing on corporate law and commercial real estate transactions. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a paralegal role, with a strong background in these areas.
Key Responsibilities:Assist the Managing Partner with the preparation and review of legal documents, including contracts, lease agreements, and corporate filings.Conduct thorough research on corporate governance, compliance, and real estate regulations.Manage the due diligence process for commercial real estate transactions, including title reviews and property inspections.Facilitate communication with clients, opposing counsel, and third parties.Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are accurate and up-to-date.Prepare and file necessary documents with governmental agencies.Assist in the drafting and negotiation of commercial leases and purchase agreements.Support the closing process for real estate transactions, including the preparation of closing documents and coordination of closing logistics.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior paralegals and legal assistants as needed.Stay current on industry trends and changes in corporate and real estate law.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree and/or paralegal certification from an accredited institution.Minimum of 10 years of experience as a paralegal, with a focus on corporate law and commercial real estate.Strong knowledge of corporate governance, compliance regulations, and real estate transactions.Proficient in legal research and document management software.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
