with a proven track record in winning estimates for design-build projects within the mechanical piping industry. The ideal candidate will have 10-15 years of relevant experience, strong leadership abilities, and a background in overseeing and mentoring other estimators.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop accurate and competitive estimates for mechanical piping design-build projects.Oversee and guide a team of estimators, ensuring high-quality work and adherence to project timelines.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather necessary information for comprehensive estimates.Analyze project plans and specifications to identify key requirements and potential challenges.Utilize industry knowledge and market trends to inform bidding strategies and pricing decisions.Prepare and present detailed estimates and proposals to stakeholders.Foster relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and support for estimates.Review and refine estimating processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
10-15 years of experience as an estimator in the mechanical piping industry, with a focus on design-build projects.Proven success in winning competitive estimates.Strong leadership skills with experience overseeing and mentoring junior estimators.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in estimating software and tools.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
