The pattern maker will work with design, Product development and production to coordinate the pattern development and execution of all product categories of the collection from first through production stages.
Competencies
Exceptional time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload to meet the deadlines of the seasonal calendar.Must be able to anticipate and mitigate risks and or issues and demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities to resolve potential roadblocks with cross-functional departments.High attention to detail and thorough in tasks management.Knowledge of hard wovens, soft wovens, denim, cut and sew knits, leather goods, and the relevant sewing constructions that apply toward each category.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and verbal / written skills.Ability to effectively communicate priorities within pattern making team and or cross functional departments.Solution oriented and strong initiative to deliver.
Job Duties
Develop patterns from initial concept through production for AGOLDE's full range of sportswear styles, including pants, jackets, tops, and dresses.Collaborate with the technical advisor to import technical packages for costing and production.Demonstrate proficiency in working with various fabrications, particularly denim.Possess knowledge of fabric shrinkage.Execute draping, drafting, and issuing cuts.Attend fittings, measure garments, document changes, and implement necessary adjustments.Collaborate with sample makers to ensure accurate garment construction and compliance with pre-production sample requirements.Approve specifications and fit for pre-production and final production samples.Partner with design and product development teams to create cohesive collections.Flexible; able adapt to changes; thrives in an ever-changing and fast-paced collaborative work environment.Job duties subject to change due to business needs.
Required experience:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in pattern making and contemporary fit, with formal education in Pattern Making and Apparel Production.Experience as a first-through-production pattern maker.Must possess tailoring experience, exceptional draping skills, and robust construction and sewing knowledge.Knowledge and experience of garment dyes, wovens, leather and diverse fabrications.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.Strong awareness of current trends and fashion.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PLM, and Microsoft Teams.Proficiency in Gerber v12 or v15 preferred; adept in computer pattern making.Excellent communication and writing skills are essential.
