Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Immigration Attorney to join a fast-growing law firm specializing in immigration law. This role involves managing a variety of immigration cases, both for detained and non-detained individuals, providing legal representation in court, and guiding clients through complex immigration processes. The ideal candidate is passionate about client advocacy, experienced in immigration law, and capable of handling a demanding caseload.Duties:Provide strategic legal counsel and explain immigration concepts to clients.Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.Manage a diverse caseload, including removal defense and family-based immigration cases.Conduct client intakes, particularly with detained individuals at detention centers.Prepare and review various immigration applications and legal briefs.Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community-based organizations on immigration law updates.Lead client consultations to develop case strategies.Prepare clients and witnesses for court appearances and USCIS interviews.Requirements:5 to 8 years of experience practicing immigration law.Proven ability to manage a caseload independently.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, but not required.Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian applications, EOIR, Detained cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.Familiarity with case management software preferred.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the bar in the state of California.Skills:Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.Ability to work collaboratively with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.Strong organizational and time-management skills.
