Project Finance Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a Project Finance Associate Attorney with a minimum of 4+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess US project development and finance expertise, particularly in distributed and utility-scale renewable energy projects.Duties:Draft, review, and negotiate principal financing documentation typical in project financings, including purchase agreements, partnership agreements, credit agreements, security and pledge agreements, and depositary agreements.Handle key commercial project documentation, including development agreements, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Engineering, Procurement, Construction contracts (EPCs), site control agreements, and interconnection agreements.Conduct thorough due diligence related to project financing and development.Provide legal advice and support to clients on project finance matters.Collaborate with other attorneys, clients, and third parties to ensure successful project execution.Requirements:JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.Admitted or eligible for admission in MA, DC, NY, or CA.Minimum of 4+ years of project finance experience at a law firm.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Professionalism in engaging with demanding clients.Ability to balance and prioritize multiple competing priorities and responsibilities.Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Strong ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings.Education and Certifications:JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.Skills:Proficiency in US project development and finance, particularly in renewable energy projects.Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.Familiarity with commercial project documentation and due diligence processes.Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to clients and team members.Proficient in legal research and analysis.
