irect counsel is seeking a Project Finance Associate with 4+ years of experience to join its energy project development and finance practice in Boston, Washington, DC, or New York.
The ideal candidate will have experience with US project development and finance, particularly in distributed and utility-scale renewable energy projects, and familiarity with principal financing documentation and key commercial project agreements.About the Corporate SectionThe corporate practice offers comprehensive legal expertise and business counseling across various business transactions. The team advises clients on a range of commercial, financial, and industrial matters, providing solutions to both public and private enterprises.ResponsibilitiesThe Project Finance Associate will:Handle financing documentation, including purchase agreements, partnership agreements, credit agreements, and security agreements.Review and manage key commercial project documentation such as development agreements, PPAs, EPCs, site control, and interconnection agreements.Conduct due diligence for project financing transactions.QualificationsJD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.Admitted or eligible for admission in MA, DC, NY, or CA.At least four years of project finance experience in a law firm.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.Professionalism in working with demanding clients and collaborating in a team environment.CompensationThe salary range for this position is $310,000 to $365,000, with bonus eligibility.
