A law firm in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a highly qualified Employment Attorney to provide expert legal support and advice to business, higher education, and nonprofit clients on employment and traditional labor law matters. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in both advising and litigation, with strong academic credentials, exceptional analytical and writing skills, and a proven ability to deliver excellent client service in a collaborative environment.Duties:Provide legal support and advice on employment law matters to business, higher education, and nonprofit clients.Offer counsel on traditional labor law issues, including labor relations, grievance arbitration, and collective bargaining.Conduct detailed legal research, draft briefs, prepare pleadings, and develop policies.Investigate misconduct complaints and prepare responses to charges.Advise clients on a range of employment issues, including policy drafting and compliance.Represent clients in matters before state agencies and the National Labor Relations Board.Work collaboratively with clients and colleagues to address complex legal challenges.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of experience in employment law, including both advising and litigation roles.At least 4 to 6 years of experience in traditional labor law, including client counseling on labor relations, grievance arbitration, and collective bargaining.Proven track record in research, brief writing, preparation of pleadings, and policy development.Strong academic credentials and exceptional analytical and writing abilities.Excellent client service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Bar License in Minnesota (required).Skills:Deep expertise in employment and traditional labor law.Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and policy formulation.Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.Excellent communication, client service, and interpersonal skills.Ability to handle complex legal issues and collaborate effectively with others.Benefits Offered:Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.Professional, challenging, and supportive working environment.
