A law firm in Baltimore, MD, is seeking a Traditional Labor Associate Attorney with a deep knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act, collective bargaining, and the unionized workplace. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience advising clients on day-to-day labor issues and grievance processing, and must possess a high level of academic achievement, law firm or clerking experience, and superb writing, research, drafting, and communication skills.Duties and Responsibilities:Advise clients on labor relations and law, including day-to-day labor issues and grievance processing.Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including briefs, memoranda, and motions.Represent clients in grievance arbitration, collective bargaining, union campaigns, and matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).Assist with client counseling on labor relations, negotiation strategies, and dispute resolution.Collaborate with team members to support and grow the labor and employment practice.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in labor law and regulations.Requirements:Minimum of 7 years of traditional labor law experience.Extensive experience with client counseling on labor relations and law, research and writing projects, grievance arbitration, collective bargaining, and union campaigns.Experience with matters before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).Strong academic credentials and law firm or clerking experience.Superb writing, research, drafting, and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Commitment to providing the highest quality client service.Ambition, drive, and team-orientation to help grow and support the labor and employment practice.Education and Certifications:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of Maryland and in good standing.Skills:Deep knowledge of the National Labor Relations Act and collective bargaining.Strong academic credentials and law firm or clerking experience.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Superb writing, research, and drafting abilities.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.Strong organizational and time management skills.Commitment to client service and professional excellence.Benefits Offered:Competitive compensation and benefits package.Paid Time Off (PTO).Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Life insurance.Firm-sponsored memberships (e.g., Peloton, Norton LifeLock).Additional benefits as part of the firm's comprehensive package.
