A law firm in Seattle, WA, seeks a skilled Labor Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in traditional labor law, be able to handle a variety of labor relations matters and provide exceptional legal counsel to employers. This role involves working closely with management on labor issues and may require regular business travel.Duties and Responsibilities
Handle unfair labor practice charges at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)Conduct research and writing regarding management labor relationsRepresent management in NLRB electionsProvide legal advice to employers regarding union organizing, corporate campaigns, card checks, and neutrality agreementsNegotiate and provide legal advice regarding collective bargaining agreementsHandle grievance and arbitration proceedingsProvide legal advice regarding protected concerted activity and other issues under the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA)Conduct management training on labor relationsAdvise management during union work stoppage situationsRequirements
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law schoolMinimum of 2 years of traditional labor law experience involving labor relationsAdmission to the Washington State BarUnderstanding of current state and federal agency enforcement techniquesExcellent attention to detailStrong organizational and project management skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsBilingual in English and Spanish is a plusWillingness to travel regularly for business purposesEducation and Certifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law schoolAdmission to the Washington State BarSkills
