This role is ideal for someone with one to three years of experience with accounts payable / receivable, or clerical experience in the treasury department of a medium sized organization, or the loan processing operation of a bank.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be primarily responsible for processing the daily cash desk for HomeAmerican, which consists of sending and receiving numerous wires, working closely with the mortgage company Closing Department, and reconciling all daily activity with the Treasury Department and the banking warehouse lender. Other duties include but are not limited to:
Processing accounts payableSetting up new vendorsIssuing customer refundsReconciling bank accountsCompleting weekly check runsfiling and maintaining accounting recordsReconciling basic general ledger accountsRequirementsA.S. in Accounting, Business Administration or Business related field. We will also consider candidates pursuing an associate's degree, or someone who has accumulated at least 30 credits in a business related field, or has attained the equivalent level of experience.One to three years as an Accounting Clerk, Treasury Clerk or experience in the back-office operations of a bank; mortgage accounting experience helpful, but not required; experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One Accounting software, and Ellie Mae Encompass loan origination software beneficial, but not required.Detail oriented, ability to learn job quickly with limited training, intermediate level skills with Microsoft Excel (i.e. ability to use existing pivot tables, vlookup function, IF statements, etc.), willing to put in the time to get the job done, natural curiosity, eager, willing to help update departmental policies/procedures; ability to work with team members with varying backgrounds; willingness to work on projects both complex and simple, due to small department size we all wear many hats.Benefits & Perks!While we value hard work, we also recognize the importance of having fun!
