Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm located in Albany, NY, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in litigation and commercial transactions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong ability to handle commercial litigation cases from start to finish, including drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and negotiating settlements.Duties:Draft legal documents including motions, pleadings, and other necessary filings.Administer depositions, issue interrogatories, and review documents.Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.Perform comprehensive legal research to support case preparation.Make court appearances as required.Conduct initial consultations with potential clients to assess their legal needs.Independently manage commercial litigation cases from inception through resolution.Requirements:3-5 years of experience in litigation and commercial transactions.Experience in commercial litigation is strongly preferred, though other litigation experience will be considered.Admitted to practice law in New York State.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active license to practice law in New York State.Skills:Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Ability to independently manage cases and work effectively under pressure.Proficient in drafting and reviewing legal documents.Skilled in legal research and case preparation.Effective negotiation and settlement skills.Good communication and interpersonal skills for client consultations and court appearances.
