Litigation Attorney Associate

A law firm seeks an Associate attorney to join its team in Cherry Hill, NJ. This full-time role presents a unique opportunity for a motivated litigator to handle a diverse range of cases, with a focus on general liability and professional liability. If you are eager to grow in a dynamic setting and expand your practice, this position provides the ideal platform for professional development.Duties:Represent clients throughout all stages of litigation, from case initiation to expert discovery.Participate in court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.Conduct legal research and assist with discovery investigations.Draft a variety of legal documents, including discovery requests and responses, motions, case evaluations, court orders, settlement agreements, affidavits, pleadings, and memoranda.Review discovery responses, and depositions, and prepare litigation summaries and status reports.Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel to resolve disputes.Maintain close communication with clients, providing them with legal updates and strategic advice throughout the litigation process.Requirements:Must be licensed to practice law in New Jersey.Prior New Jersey litigation experience is preferred.Experience drafting discovery documents, leading depositions, and arguing motions is highly preferred.Strong written and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active bar membership in New Jersey.Skills:Strong legal research and writing abilities.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and opposing counsel.Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.Proficient in using office productivity tools and legal research software.
