Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:A reputable litigation firm located in Tustin, CA is seeking a qualified Litigation Attorney to join its team. This role involves managing a diverse caseload in civil litigation, focusing primarily on defense with some plaintiff work. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong analytical and communication skills.Location:Tustin, CaliforniaDuties:Manage a heavy caseload, including client communication, settlement negotiations, and law and motion practice.Conduct routine travel around California to appear in court and handle jury trials.Analyze litigation files, conduct legal research, and prepare responsive pleadings.Propound and respond to discovery, and effectively determine which cases to settle or take to trial.Communicate legal strategies to clients and collaborate with senior staff.Employ excellent case management and time management skills to resolve cases efficiently.Maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.Requirements:Minimum of 4 years of experience in civil litigation; preferably 7 or more years.Ability to confidently take and defend depositions, including expert and PMK depositions.Prior jury trial experience is highly desirable.Flexibility for court appearances in civil litigation and family law.Strong experience in motion practice and trial preparation.Excellent writing and analytical skills.Experience in breach of contract, employment law, real estate law, or construction defect is highly desirable.Active member of the California State Bar in good standing with no disciplinary record.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-approved law school.Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills.Effective case management and time management abilities.Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of the court systems in Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside, and San Diego counties is highly desirable.
