The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in transactional tax, particularly in leading tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions and real estate transactions. The role requires significant client contact, strong leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills.Duties:Lead tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions.Manage tax aspects of real estate transactions.Oversee junior associates and paralegals.Emphasize planning for pass-through entities and C-Corporations, including QSBS and irrevocable trust structuring.Handle tax planning within M&A matters, family office planning, real estate ventures, and estate planning transactions.Conduct internal restructurings and provide support in litigation and employment disputes.Maintain significant client contact and build strong client relationships.Collaborate with team members while managing individual responsibilities.Requirements:Minimum of 6+ years of substantive tax experience focusing on transactional tax.Extensive experience in leading tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions and real estate transactions.Ability to manage and mentor junior associates and paralegals.Strong client management skills with significant client contact experience.Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Admission to the State Bar of California.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.LL.M. in Taxation is preferred.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of California is required.Skills:Strong leadership and management abilities.Excellent written, interpersonal, and communication skills.Ability to handle significant responsibilities individually.Proficiency in planning for pass-through entities and C-Corporations.Expertise in QSBS and irrevocable trust structuring.Ability to navigate M&A matters, family office planning, real estate ventures, estate planning transactions, and internal restructurings.Litigation and employment dispute experience.
