Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Corporate Associate Attorney with a focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to join their dynamic team in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will possess strong M&A skills, a high degree of maturity, and the ability to effectively manage both internal and external client relationships. This role demands an individual who can lead the drafting and negotiation of documents, oversee deal processes, supervise junior associates, and handle day-to-day M&A-related matters.Job Responsibilities:Lead the drafting and negotiation of definitive and ancillary documents in M&A transactions.Manage the entire deal process from inception to closing.Supervise and mentor junior associates, ensuring their professional development and quality of work.Handle day-to-day demands and tasks related to various M&A matters.Develop and maintain strong client relationships, both internal and external.Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on M&A transactions and other corporate matters.Collaborate with other practice groups within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services.Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends.Requirements:6-8 years of mergers and acquisitions experience.Proven ability to lead the drafting and negotiation of M&A documents.Experience in managing deal processes and client relationships.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.High degree of maturity and business sense.Ability to effectively manage internal and external client relationships.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar of Oregon, or eligibility to become admitted promptly.Certifications:Active member in good standing with the Oregon State Bar or ability to gain membership promptly.Skills:Expertise in mergers and acquisitions, including strategic planning, negotiation, and execution.Excellent leadership and mentoring abilities.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in a large regional, national, or international law firm.Demonstrated ability to handle complex legal matters with minimal supervision.Strong business development skills and ability to contribute to the growth of the firm.This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned attorney to join a prestigious law firm and work on high-profile M&A transactions while mentoring the next generation of legal professionals.
