A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Junior Biotech IP Patent Agent with a robust technical background in biological sciences and a strong commitment to exceptional client service. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in a relevant biological field, be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and possess substantial experience in patent drafting and prosecution.Duties and Responsibilities:Draft and prosecute patent applications related to biotech and life sciences.Conduct intellectual property (IP) due diligence and freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses.Work closely with clients and legal teams to address and resolve patent-related issues.Prepare and file responses to office actions and other communications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Analyze scientific literature and patent databases to support application preparation and prosecution.Assist in managing and strategizing IP portfolios.Support patent litigation and licensing efforts as required.Requirements:Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related discipline.Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Minimum of 3 years of experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Experience in a law firm environment is desirable.Experience conducting IP due diligence and FTO analyses is helpful.Excellent academic credentials.Skills:Strong technical expertise in biological sciences.Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.Proficiency in patent prosecution processes and related tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Education and Certifications:Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related discipline.Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
