Job Overview:
A law firm in Boston is seeking a Junior Biotech IP Patent Agent with a strong technical background in the biological sciences and a commitment to providing exceptional client service. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a relevant biological science, be registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and possess substantial experience in patent drafting and prosecution.Duties and Responsibilities:Draft and prosecute patent applications related to biotech and life sciences.Conduct intellectual property (IP) due diligence and freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses.Collaborate with clients and attorneys to understand and address patent-related issues.Prepare and file responses to office actions and other correspondence with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Stay current with developments in biotech and IP law to provide informed advice and recommendations.Review and analyze scientific literature to support patent application preparation and prosecution.Assist in strategic IP planning and portfolio management for clients.Support patent litigation and licensing efforts as needed.Requirements:A Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related discipline.Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Minimum of 3 years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications.Experience in a law firm environment is desirable.Experience conducting IP due diligence and FTO analyses is helpful.Excellent academic credentials.Skills:Strong technical expertise in biological sciences.Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Proficiency in patent prosecution processes and related software tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Education and Certifications:Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related discipline.Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.Company infoBCG Attorney Search225 Franklin Street, 26th floorBostonMassachusettsUnited States 02110Phone :
