Full Job Description The CNC Set-up Operator must have experience in the set-up, operation, editing, and shop floor programming capabilities for various types of CNC milling centers (Hass, Okuma, DMG, etc.). The CNC Set-up Operator must have the ability to do both complex and routine set-ups on CNC mills, with proven and unproven CNC programs to obtain the first article on multiple machine types. They must be able to read, interpret blueprints, conduct work piece inspections and able to understand both M and G codes. Here's what you'll need to be considered for this exciting opportunity: Minimum two (2) years of operating CNC Milling Machines, including but not limited to 2, 3, 4, and 5-axis machines. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces, sequence of operations, and set-up requirements. Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece as guides for subsequent machining. Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jog borers, grinders, and shapers. Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media. Process all necessary documentation and paperwork for processes completed. Experience with HAAS and Fanuc is a plus. Requires the ability to read specifications, gages, and to execute standard production requirements. Preferred ability to operate a forklift truck and ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Read drawings and follow set-up sheets. Inspect parts using proper inspection equipment.
