What the job entails

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for the Human Resources function reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources. This position is responsible for acting as an HR Business Partner in the planning and execution of HR services and programs aligned with functional business strategies. The Generalist will be actively involved in the Human Resources Department including HRIS Systems, Employee Relations, Training, and Benefits Administration while adhering to standards for the Department of Labor, the Department of Transportation, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, etc.

Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesSupport managers regarding employee relations with emphasis on addressing and documenting employee concerns, seeking solutions, conducting internal investigations, and promoting a positive work environment. May be required to administer and execute these tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.Partners with the management team on performance management activities such as providing direction and feedback daily, as well as during the annual performance evaluation process and assisting with employee performance plans as needed.Assist employees on an as-needed basis to resolve any issues or concerns regarding their position or employment parameters.Provide input and support on the development, and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; provide guidance and interpretation of policies to employees and managers, ensuring consistency across all levels and throughout multiple locations.Comply with government regulations and standards of OFCCP, local, state, and federal programs, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, and HIPAA. Responsible for required annual reporting, such as the EEO-1 Report.Partners with the leadership team to understand and support the execution of the organization's human resource strategy as it relates to current and future employee relation needs, retention, and succession planning.Works within the company's HRIS system, including the administration, communication, and training for all company employees.Supports learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices or changes to existing policies and practices to maintain compliance.Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law and makes recommendations to HR leadership.Performs other duties as assigned.Adhere to the Employee's Responsibilities section set forth in Conco's Safety Policies & Procedure Manual.Assist the Talent Acquisition team with pre-employment and onboarding activities as needed.Skills

Experience and Education

A 4-Year in an HR field is highly desirable,High School Diploma required.Minimum four years' experience in an Industrial/Manufacturing HR environment required.Experience working in a multi-state environment a plusHighly Experienced in HRIS System (specifically Paycom) Administration a plusProficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Must be authorized to work within the United States.Equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Physical Requirements

Office based work, at least eight hours a day.Ability to focus on a task to completion.Ability to travel, possibly overnight on occasion.
