**Job Description:**
- Provide exceptional care in a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiovascular surgical preoperative unit.- Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 with support from clinical staff including CNC, unit secretary, and manager.- Utilize GE Carescape Monitoring and Fuji ultrasound equipment; document care using Cerner system.- Meet scheduling requirements, generally Monday to Friday, from 05:00 to 13:30, with occasional late stays 1-2 times per week.- Perform procedures including large-bore IV starts, medication administration, skin assessments, and assist with arterial line, central line, and epidural placement.- Facilitate patient transport to OR, assist with induction/intubation, positioning, and skin preparation.- Comply with unit guidelines and dress code; uniform provided.- Demonstrate excellent communication skills with interdepartmental teams.- Participate actively in contributing to a positive patient experience.
