Description

Responsible for various HR tasks and processes, including ensuring seamless employee onboarding, supporting employee relations, FMLA/LOA, and engagement initiatives. The HR Generalist plays a key role in enhancing the overall employee experience and ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.Oversee the onboarding process for all new employees, ensuring that all necessary documentation, training, and orientation materials are completed in a timely manner.Collaborate with department managers to ensure new hires have the tools and resources to integrate effectively into their roles.Serve as the first point of contact for employees regarding HR policies and procedures.Support employee engagement initiatives and work closely with management to promote a positive and inclusive work culture.Gather feedback from employees and recommend improvements to enhance overall employee satisfaction and retention.Assist in managing employee relations by addressing workplace conflicts, conducting investigations when necessary, and providing guidance on HR-related matters.Ensure that all employee relations issues are handled in compliance with company policies and employment laws.Coordinate or assist with the performance review process, ensuring timely completion and alignment with organizational goals.Assist managers and employees with performance management practices and provide support in setting employee goals and development plans.Generate reports on key HR metrics, such as turnover, absenteeism, employee engagement, and retention rates.Analyze HR data and trends, providing insights and recommendations to improve HR processes and employee satisfaction.Performs other related duties as assigned.Qualifications

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.High level of confidentiality and attention to detail.Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.Understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA) and how they apply to workplace practices.Knowledge of conflict resolution, investigation processes, and strategies to promote positive employee relations.Familiarity with best practices in employee onboarding, including documentation, orientation, and training processes.Knowledge of HRIS systems and requirements for maintaining employee records in accordance with legal and organizational standards.Knowledge of performance management systems.Paylocity experience a plus.Bi-lingual (Spanish) language preferred, but not required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited college, university, or technical school and 5 years related experience and/or training in human resources; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP a plus.
