Technical Advisor - E&I

WHAT WE NEED: Technical Advisor - Electrical and Instrumentation The Technical Advisor - Electrical and Instrumentation is responsible for the successful planning, execution, quality control, documentation, and completion of field installation and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation projects. This role involves overseeing a team of instrument technicians, coordinating with other project stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines. Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of instrument technicians, ensuring efficient and effective execution of tasks. Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to team members. Manage team performance, address issues, and maintain a positive work environment. Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations. Coordinate with project engineers, site managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and industry best practices. Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project requirements. Implement quality control measures to prevent defects and ensure project success. Possess a strong understanding of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. Stay up to date with industry advancements and emerging technologies. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the team. Prioritize safety and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations. Conduct safety training and enforce safety protocols. Investigate and report safety incidents, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Prepare and submit regular project reports, including progress updates, issues, and recommendations. Track project costs and expenditures, ensuring adherence to budget constraints. WHO WE NEED: Certification in electrical, instrumentation, or control systems engineering. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, with experience on turbomachinery equipment. Proven track record of successfully managing and leading field installation and commissioning projects. Strong technical knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems, including hardware, software, and communication protocols. Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with various stakeholders. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Experience working in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or related electrical technical program. Experience with specific turbomachinery equipment types (e.g., gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors). Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools. Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., AutoCAD, PLC programming software). Willingness to travel to project sites, often for extended periods. Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor settings. Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
