Description

The ideal candidate would handle construction coordination for the E&I scope of small to medium sized projects.Project Planning and Coordination:Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to develop construction plans and schedules for instrument and electrical installations.Coordinate construction activities with other disciplines (mechanical, civil, process) to ensure alignment and integration of project deliverables.Load construction plan into Microsoft Project to facilitate progress reporting.Contractor Management:Manage and oversee contractors and subcontractors involved in instrument and electrical construction activities.Monitor contractor performance, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with project specifications and quality standards.Resource Allocation:Coordinate resources (personnel, equipment, materials) required for instrument and electrical construction activities.Ensure availability of necessary tools and equipment (either provided by contractor or directly procured as needed) for installation, testing, and commissioning.Quality Assurance and Compliance:Implement quality control measures to ensure that all instrument and electrical installations meet industry standards and project requirements.Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with design drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.Safety and Risk Management:Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment during construction activities.Identify and mitigate risks associated with instrument and electrical construction work.Testing and Commissioning:Oversee the testing and commissioning of instrumentation and electrical systems.Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams for successful turnover and integration into existing refinery infrastructure.Documentation and Reporting:Maintain accurate records of construction activities, including progress reports, daily logs, and as-built drawings.Prepare and submit reports to project management regarding construction status, issues, and resolutions.Qualifications

5+ years in construction coordination within the oil and gas industry, specifically in refinery projects.In-depth knowledge of instrumentation and electrical systems, including codes, standards, and installation practices.Strong management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
