We are a growing organization seeking a talented Production Team Lead to join our team as a pivotal member here at PBF Energy. This role is located at Chalmette Refinery in Chalmette, LA.JOB SUMMARY The Production Team Lead (PTL) is responsible for running the day-to-day operation of his/her units using established procedures and standards, ensuring that the units operate at their optimum level of efficiency and effectiveness. He/she must ensure that the unit remains within the design operating envelope at all times in a way that meets the Company's health, safety, and environmental objectives (HSE).PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIESOperations Integrity/ReliabilityOperates units via the use of Distributed Control System (DCS)Performs routine monitoring of the unit while optimizing unit performance, investigating any HSE critical alarms, and adhering to the operating envelope of the unitPrioritizes maintenance activities on nights and weekends and communicates issues to managementMonitors environmental concerns and records issues and unit upsets (e.g., flaring, spills, etc.)Health, Safety & EnvironmentalMaintains accountability for the HSE performance of their shift/region and promotes safety and operational integrity within the shift teamInitiates the appropriate investigation and troubleshooting following an incidentEnsures that the site operates within and complies with current environmental legislationMaintains accurate console documentation such as log books, shift summaries, etc.Reviews alarm status, bulb function check, instrument zero, SCD bypasses, etc.PeopleSupervises the Operations personnel on assigned unitsSets shift expectations for operators and lead operators on his/her unitAssists in setting schedules for hourly personnelAssists in the selection and promotion of wage personnelAssists in the planning of overall people development within operationsDevelops and supports training initiatives for hourly personnelJOB QUALIFICATIONSPrevious experience in refining/petrochemical facility required5+ years of console operator/process team lead experience is preferredAvailable to work 12-hour rotating shifts (days, nights, weekends, and some holidays)Familiarity with industry process safety and environment regulations, work practices, and compliance strategies as well as knowledge of basic refinery processes, reliability principles, refining economics, and basic budgeting and scheduling requiredKnowledge of Distributed Control System (DCS) is preferredAbility to interpret lab results and adjust unit operation accordingly requiredKnowledge of Delayed Coking Units and interactions between those units and the rest of the refinery is preferredStrong troubleshooting, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills requiredThis description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee.We thank all respondents for their interest in PBF Holding Company LLC ("PBF Energy"), however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
