Oversee and manage the accounting department, including supervision of accounting staff. (2 Direct reports, 9 Indirect reportsLead Month-End Close and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for parent reporting.Budgeting and Forecasting, supporting the development of budgets and financial forecasts, analyzing.Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.Analyzing financial data and providing insights to management for decision-making purposesStaying up to date with accounting regulations and best practices, ensuring compliance and identifying opportunities for process improvements.Lead and Coordinate audits, ensuring compliance and timely completion and adherence to financial standards.Assist with the preparation of State and Federal schedules for timely preparation to our tax consultantsFoster a collaborative and high-performance culture.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field10+ years of experience in accounting with a minimum of 4 years supervisor experienceRobust technical, analytical, communication and presentation skillsStrong attention to detailExperience with crafting accounting software for new business ideasAble to communicate complex accounting conceptsExperience in corporate account environmentExperience in large ERP SystemsSeasoned experience in IFRS a plusDemonstrated history of evaluating variances to the transaction levelProficient in Microsoft Office suite, including extensive use of ExcelKnowledge of components and implementation of internal controls a plusExcellent communication skillsHeavy inventory accounting - Preferably distributor background
