About the PositionIn this role, the Sr IT Asset Manager will be responsible for the overall administration, support, governance, and management of the IT Asset Management (ITAM) program. The ITAM scope includes but is not limited to technology assets, risk mitigation, monitoring, compliance, value, and lifecycle management of technology assets. The position includes providing lead administrative duties of the ITAM system, developing policies supporting the system and implementing ITAM best practice standards, analyzing key compliance metrics, and applying advanced analytics (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive) to drive informed and fiscally responsible decisions on technology assets. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related equivalent IT field
A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis

Job ContributionsCreate the Governance and Compliancy Program to remediate risks associated with Technology Assets
Monitor deployed assets to ensure that only authorized assets are deployed; ensure that appropriate resources (people, tools, services) and processes are in place to gather and analyze data relating to technology asset life cycles and related processes
Provide strategic, multi-year roadmap planning and budget planning using industry best practices; gather data on and provide analysis of all activities that have an impact on the value, cost, and risk of digital technology asset life cycles
Develop and Report on remediation of digital technology asset-related risks and progress of optimization activity; ensure that ITAM-related tools and services are properly evaluated, selected, implemented, configured, and maintained, with appropriate integration with other sources of organizational data
Ensure accurate, timely reporting from CMDB and that data completeness and quality issues are quickly identified and escalated to the responsible Data or Process Owners
Provide Technology/Security/Procurement/Risk and Finance with the data to support the analysis of digital technology assets following Asset Life Cycle Management and Configuration Life Cycle Management CMDB
Assign responsibilities for sub-disciplines, such as software asset management (SAM), hardware asset management (HAM) and IT asset disposition (ITAD)
Evaluate the organization's response to software vendor license compliance audits or license validation requests
Provide access to technology asset data in support of essential activities required to support the organization
Working ConditionsExerting up to 10 lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time. The position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.Selection ProcedureOnly the most qualified candidates will be considered
