The Administrative Assistant is responsible for assisting in supporting the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) in their daily operations of the department including generating reports, organizing the CCO’s schedules, track responsibilities, and communicating concerns identified. Responsibilities also include managing departmental files and meeting organization. The Administrative Assistant will report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer. This position is hybrid and will require 2 days onsite in a week.

Stronger Communities New York (SCNY)

Stronger Communities New York (SCNY) is the parent company providing administrative support for both The House of the Good Shepherd and Together for Youth. This position will be a part of SCNY and is based in Utica, NY. The Director of Compliance and Risk will follow The House of the Good Shepherd's (HGS) guidelines regarding benefits, compensation and all policies and procedures as outlined in the HGS employee handbook.

Job Responsibilities

Answers and transfers phone calls, screening when necessary.

Maintains filing systems as assigned as well as mail/fax retrieval and distribution.

Retrieves information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepares written summaries of data when needed.

Responds to and resolves administrative inquiries and questions.

Coordinates and schedules travel, meetings, and appointments for managers or supervisor and as assigned by supervisor.

Prepares agendas and schedules for meetings.

Records and distributes minutes or other records for meetings.

Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment.

Adheres to agency policies and procedures; follows and supports agency mission, vision and values including participating in internal surveys and data collection for continuous improvement initiatives.

Assists with regulatory research and management as instructed.

Generates documentation of collated information as needed assisting in reports and PowerPoints.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Preferred Associate’s degree in business, education, human services or related field; minimum High School diploma is required.

Minimum 1-2 years of experience in related field or office environment is required.

Must able to do research independently and in a team environment.

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment in a fast paced and energetic culture. Highly effective in dealing with ambiguity.

Must be able to adapt, be sensitive to Agency needs, goodwill and public image.

Ability to read cursive strongly Preferred.

Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with extreme discretion.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Ability to work with an economically and culturally diverse population. "

Pay Range

$19.61-$21.08 Per hour

Pay is dependent on level of education and relevant work experience.
