Responsibilities
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Plan, supervise, and complete routine engagements, including reviewing engagement work papers, resolving problems, and keeping the director informed of all important developmentsSupervise Associates and Senior Associates, provide feedback to them and evaluate their career developmentCoordinate with team members to work jointly on tax engagementsBecome an expert in their assigned areas and specialtiesRecognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clientsOversee the preparation and filing of all tax returns, including federal, state, and local taxesDevelop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability and maximize tax benefits for clientsReview and analyze financial statements to identify tax issues and opportunitiesConduct research independently to address tax law, tax planning and other client needs as they ariseDevelop and maintain relationships with external tax advisors and government agenciesRequirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s Degree preferredCPA or EA required5-10 years of experience in public accountingSALT experience preferredEstate, Gift and Trust and international tax planning experience preferredEfficiency in Excel and research-based softwareSkilled communicator, both verbally and written, ensuring confidentiality with Corrigan Krause employees and stakeholdersWell-organized and detail orientedAbility to take and pass a background checkWork flexible hours as needed
Salary (based on experience): $100,00-$135,000
