Charles Schwab and Company, Inc. is hiring a(n) Manager, Data Engineering (ref. Code 2024-105105 in Austin, TX.
Duties: Develop, maintain, and support large-scale and complex ETL and distributed Big Data applications. Work with platform architects to ensure technical integrity and consistency of solutions. Proactively detect, troubleshoot, and resolve all issues affecting production applications relating to developmental and external team coordination. Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to affected parties during the investigation and resolution of any individual or system-wide outages. Ensure and carry out the Change Management hygiene for all changes propagated to production from a support and Steady State transition standpoint. Assist development teams in application development to ensure new systems or projects meet the Production Readiness standards. Work with business stakeholders to educate and navigate them through the Schwab Technology Services (STS) standards and policies for new projects, or enhancements to existing investments. Efficiently navigate and support Incident and Change Management process with an end- to-end understanding of the system flows and technology landscape. Constantly update knowledge repository and ensure seamless availability and accessibility of information regarding support related activities or issues. Service all requests for data or other activities that require access to Production systems.
REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 60 months of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in a related occupation. Related skills may be required.
