Senior Cyber Security EngineerLocation:

We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.What you’ll be doing:Support the review of firewall rule requests acting as a Security approver.Provide reviews of Security feature configurations on the firewalls.Maintenance of the Atlassian Stack including Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket.Manage user permissions, workflows, and integrations for Atlassian tools.Resolve Atlassian application performance issues and related problems.PostgreSQL Database maintenance and troubleshooting.Handle ticket queues to ensure timely resolution for end-user issues.Create and maintain Confluence spaces, Jira projects, workflows, and Bitbucket repositories.Provide knowledge transfer to colleagues and stakeholders on Atlassian Stack tools.Analyse, test and document deployment strategy of the Atlassian Stack.Create documentation, standard operating procedures and granular process checklists.Managing and mentoring team members while providing an escalation point where required.Work with Cyber Security Engineering team to integrate new capabilities, plan life cycle replacements, and provide input into the security architecture roadmaps.Your skills and experiences:Proven experience in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Atlassian Stack tools including Jira, Confluence and BitBucket.Experience in PostgreSQL maintenance and troubleshooting.Good experience with Linux (mainly RHEL) Operating Systems.Detailed understanding of Network troubleshooting.Experience of Firewall architectures (Palo Alto, Juniper, Cisco).Knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.The Cyber Engineering team:You will be joining an expansion to an existing cyber engineering team, supporting additional requirements that sits within Enterprise IT, providing enterprise IT services across the UK businesses and internationally. You will participate in the creation of security solutions to provide enterprise security services, and maintain, develop, and communicate their associated roadmaps and standards through the full lifecycle of the service.
