Primary Function:

Manages the day-to-day staffing and operational needs of the IT department. Provide ongoing planning, analysis, and support of the credit union's technology infrastructure including but not limited to firewalls, switches, routers, storage, servers, PCs/laptops, and other hardware and software. Recommend changes or upgrades or new products that meet the dynamic needs of the credit union.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and maintain the strategy and future direction of LAN and WAN technologies and protocols, voice over IP, telecommunications, hardware and software. Keep abreast of new technologies and their impact and cost to the credit union.Develop configuration and performance standards for the network. Implement policies and monitor controls to ensure standards are maintained.Evaluate business needs, objectives, and goals, researching products available and designating procedures and systems to best meet those needs.Develop plans for implementation of new products, coordinating process with project leader. Provide well-defined plans including procedures, documentation, deadlines, and accountability.Coach and direct staff in operational activities to ensure compliance with departmental goals, objectives of the credit union, external regulations, and budgetary requirements.Support the department's personnel administration activities including job assignment, training, performance, evaluation, and compensation review.Maintain organizational structure established by President/CEO. Develop staff and organize subordinate personnel into effective, efficient work groups.Collaborate it IT Management to develop and execute the Credit Union's IT strategy.Ensure Information Security Policies are understood and adhered to within the department.Manage the purchasing of all software, hardware and other IT supplies.Aid in developing and testing the business continuity plan. Ensure IT staff are familiar with recovery procedures and that data backups are functioning and av Keep department recovery procedures up to date.Aid in developing & following an annual budget. Recommend capital expenditures. Enforce budgetary performance with IT staff.Ensure the stability, performance, and security of IT systems.Ensure hardware, software, and network support are provided to internal staff in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.Understand and describe the purpose of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti Money Laundering, and Office of Foreign Asset Control policy (OFAC). Identify the BSA Administrator and responsibilities. Complete annual BSA training. Know where to find the BSA policies, procedures, and forms.Responsible for understanding and complying with the iTHINK Financial Cybersecurity Phishing Standards and Guidelines for the safety and soundness of the Credit Union. Complete on-going training as assigned to stay current with new trends. Know where to find the Cybersecurity policies and procedures.Skills, Knowledge, and Ability:Ability to work on complex assignments, give technical guidance, with latitude to make decisions and take initiative to resolve problems or unique circumstances.Thorough knowledge of organization's policies/procedures and service philosophy.Thorough knowledge of safety and security programs, including but not limited to, false alarms, robberies, identity theft, and fraud.Thorough understanding of Windows Servers and other operating system software.Thorough knowledge and proficiency of credit union's in-house computer system.Working knowledge of various technology & computers systems and software.Ability to organize, manage, and coach staff.Ability to assess needs of multiple members and prioritize requests to ensure that all members receive the highest quality service possible.Understand and follow complex written and oral instructions.Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.Behavioral Model: What activities are involved?

Education and Experience

Job requires a four year college level of language, math and reasoning skills and three or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience. Formal position training should be supplemented with continuing education. This is an exempt position.

Work Environment/Physical Activities

Ability to work in fast-paced environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Work creates normal fatigue daily. Work creates moderate stress during certain periods during daily routine. Job does not have specific volume and pace of work standards except that the job requires that members be served in the timeliest manner possible. Job requires extensive employee contact on a continual basis as well as some member contact. Hours will vary and will include early, late, and weekend hours.

Requirements

This position requires the candidate reside in or be within reasonable driving distance to any of our regions in FL: South Florida, Treasure Coast or GA: Atlanta. The first 90 days will primarily be onsite work. After which, a hybrid schedule can be determined.
