DescriptionThe Director of Human Resources will play a key role in shaping and implementing HR strategies in a fast-paced, dynamic SaaS startup environment. This role is responsible for driving all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and the development of company culture. The Director of HR will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, helping to foster an inclusive, innovative, and results-driven workforce. You’ll thrive in this role if you’re passionate about scaling HR processes, building a positive and productive workplace, and aligning HR initiatives with business goals.Strategic HR LeadershipDevelop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company's goals, particularly in the areas of talent acquisition, retention, and performance management.Partner with senior leadership to develop a positive and inclusive company culture that supports innovation, collaboration, and employee growth.Lead initiatives related to organizational structure, workforce planning, and succession planning.Talent Acquisition & Workforce ManagementOversee the recruitment and onboarding process to ensure the hiring of top talent that fits the company’s culture and mission.Collaborate with managers to identify workforce needs and create job descriptions, interview guides, and hiring strategies.Foster a high-performance culture by designing effective performance management processes and employee development programs.Employee Engagement & DevelopmentLead employee engagement initiatives, including semi-annual employee surveys, and an annual 360 performance review processOversee the development and implementation of training programs to enhance employee skills and leadership capabilities.Serve as a key resource for employees on HR policies, career development, and company benefits.Act as a bridge between employees and management, facilitating open communication and fostering a transparent and cohesive work environment.Serve as a champion for employee morale and engagement, helping to resolve workplace challenges and celebrate successes.Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsure the company’s HR policies and practices are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Oversee employee relations, addressing concerns related to workplace behavior, disputes, and terminations in a fair and legally compliant manner.Manage benefit programs, including health, retirement, and wellness initiatives, while overseeing open enrollment and qualifying events.Compensation & BenefitsWork with leadership to design competitive compensation structures that align with industry benchmarks.Evaluate and refine employee benefits programs to meet the evolving needs of a small, growing company.RequirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR) is a plus.7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Previous experience in a tech or SaaS environment is highly desirable.Skills & CompetenciesStrong understanding of HR practices, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation, and compliance.Proven ability to build relationships with employees at all levels and foster a positive work environment.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a growing startup environment.Familiarity with HR technology and systems (HRIS, ATS) and comfort with data-driven decision-making.
