is seeking a Vice President of Corporate Development, reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Corporate Development. The VP – Corporate Development will lead the execution of acquisitions for the company, in addition to research and strategy projects requested by management, with high visibility to the executive leadership team. This role is crucial in driving the company's growth through strategic investments and acquisitions.Amwins has acquired fifty-eight firms since 2002, and M&A is an integral part of the go-forward strategy. This position will join the team that is responsible for executing these transactions on a global basis. In addition to control deals, this position will assist with divestitures, capital markets analysis and decisions, post-acquisition integration, portfolio data & analytics, and other strategic projects.Key Areas of ResponsibilityDeal Sourcing and Origination:

Build and maintain relationships with investment banks, advisors, and industry contacts.Conduct initial evaluations of investment opportunities, including market trends and competitive landscape.

Due Diligence and Investment Analysis:

Lead and oversee the due diligence process for potential investments.Analyze financial metrics, valuation models, and market data.Coordinate with external advisors on due diligence efforts.

Financial Modeling and Valuation:

Develop, review, and refine complex financial models (e.g., LBO models).Validate key assumptions, run sensitivity analyses, and generate different financial scenarios.

Play a lead role in executing transactions, including negotiation and structuring of deals.Collaborate closely with the legal team to manage transaction documentation.Qualifications

Experience:

8-10+ years of M&A experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or a combination.Education:

Bachelor's Degree required; MBA in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field preferred.Skills:

Strong analytical skills, experience in evaluating, negotiating, and closing acquisition deals, and success in leading end-to-end processes for business growth.
