Description
This is a professional position within the Office of Enrollment Services with a wide diversity of complex responsibilities and activities.
An employee in a position allocated to this class is part of the management team in the office operations, interacting with the campus community to solve problems and answer questions. This position also supervises, evaluates and coordinates tasks among staff, has primary responsibility for various functions of the office, and assumes the responsibilities of the Director in the Director’s absence.

Works with Director to ensure that the daily operation of the office is effective in meeting the needs of the college and students.
Supervises and evaluates all employees in the Office of Enrollment Services.
Assists the Director with all functions, services, and processes of the Office of Enrollment Services.
Primary responsibility for international admissions procedures, including serving as primary designated school official for the Student & Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).
Assists in the preparation and processing of reports required of the office.
Handles special projects as assigned by the Director.
Collaborates with the Director, serves as liaison and coordinates with Information Services and other departments relating to Banner Student system, self-service, the Acalog online catalog, and other systems under the responsibility of the department, including troubleshooting issues, running batch processes, developing, generating and processing reports, implementing updates, and assisting and training users.
Performs research, investigation, and analysis and makes recommendations to improve operations and efficiency in the office.
Manages all departmental processes relating to transcript evaluation, award of transfer and articulated credit, graduation, enrollment certification, and enrollment reports, in compliance with college, state, federal and accrediting agency laws, rules, requirements and regulations.
Serves as a resource for office staff for all functions and processes of the department.

Minimum Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
Computer proficiency required, to include Microsoft Office. Knowledge of FERPA. Knowledge of transcript evaluation. Knowledge of technology utilized for communication, data gathering, storage, and reporting activities. Ability to accurately enter complex and varied data. Ability to delegate or seek assistance as necessary. Ability to work well with coworkers, other staff, and the general public. Ability to handle multiple and varied priorities and remain calm under pressure. Ability to work with confidential information. Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively to meet deadlines. Ability to meet and communicate with general public in a positive manner. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to supervise and evaluate other employees effectively. Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and exercise independent judgment and initiative. Ability to be innovative and creative to improve efficiency and solve problems. Ability to handle all aspects of the position in a professional manner. Skill in management, organization, and adapting quickly to change.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of experience working in a student services office or an office dealing with detailed records. Computer literate with experience in word processing, database and spreadsheet applications. Supervisory experience required.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and experience with Banner Student system.
Knowledge of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS
:
Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction).
Acceptable hearing (with or without hearing aid).
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Use of fingers.

Works inside in an office environment.
