Job DescriptionPerform the drayage process of shipment from receiving Arrival Notices and ISF information before the port arrival of the vessel to creating and sending delivery work orders and empty container returns, etc.Build relationships with selected drayage carriers and make urgent communication in case of emergencySearch backup drayage carriers in case of shortagesShare daily container delivery schedules with drayage carriersAnalyze, create, edit, track, and trace select LSPs such as drayage carriers, rail companies, and rail terminalsMonitor and drive improvement to customer service goals including on-time delivery, product lead-times, and request-for-quote responsivenessFind the best solutions in time in case of a pre-pullAnalyze and report on monthly KPI's for drayage deliveriesEstablish delivery status reports and share them with customersCreate simple tools to manage regular shipment monitoring status and report to upper management, customers, and HQAnalyze data to find out the pending issues in terms of seamless movement and share with related parties to resolve the issuesPerform ad-hoc reporting as requiredPerform other job-related duties as requiredQualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred, High School GED required4+ years of freight forwarding operation or transportation/logistics related experience preferredStrong understanding of international transportation, ocean shipping, and freight forwarding industryTMS and WMS system experience preferredProficient with Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel with v-lookups and pivot tablesAbility to quickly grasp situations to make decisions to ensure problems are resolved and correctedAbility to build trustworthy relationships with vendors/customers, and experience with vendor managementAbility to prioritize, ability to shift one's focus to urgent issues while not falling behind on other dutiesExcellent problem-solving skillsExcellent presentation, communication, and organizational skills including effective written and verbal communications skills to communicate with various levels of the organizationBilingual Korean/ English preferred
