The candidate will focus on employment litigation and have a comprehensive understanding of federal and Washington state employment laws and regulations. This role offers the opportunity to handle complex employment disputes and work closely with clients on litigation strategy, case development, and compliance matters.Key Responsibilities:Manage and litigate employment cases involving claims such as discrimination, harassment, wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, and other employment-related matters.Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Represent clients in court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.Advise clients on employment law compliance and provide guidance on workplace policies and practices.Collaborate with clients to develop strategies for handling employment disputes and mitigating legal risks.Conduct and respond to discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.Prepare for and assist in trial preparation, including witness preparation, evidence gathering, and trial strategy development.Maintain strong client relationships and communicate regularly to provide case updates and strategic advice.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.3+ years of experience in employment litigation.Strong knowledge of federal and Washington state employment laws and regulations.Admitted to or pending admission to the Washington State Bar.Proven track record of successful litigation outcomes in employment law cases.Skills:Excellent research, writing, and drafting skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.Strategic thinker with the ability to develop practical solutions for clients.Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.Team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients.Preferred Qualifications:Experience handling all phases of employment litigation, from initial case assessment through trial or settlement.Familiarity with representing both employers and employees in employment disputes.Location:
