Proven experience in courtroom proceedings, including taking and defending depositions, is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in financial services litigation cases, including those involving commercial real estate, distressed loans, debt and security instruments, and creditor and lender liability.Manage all aspects of litigation, including taking and defending depositions, preparing witnesses, and overseeing discovery processes.Draft, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.Appear in court to present evidence, argue motions, and handle trial proceedings.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies and legal arguments.Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation and arbitration.Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop and implement effective case strategies.Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.RequirementsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Washington State Bar.Minimum of 3 years of relevant litigation experience or substantial clerkship experience, with a focus on financial services, commercial real estate, and distressed loans.Demonstrated experience in taking and defending depositions and managing courtroom activities.Strong academic credentials with proven problem-solving and communication skills.SkillsExpertise in financial services litigation, including commercial real estate and distressed loan matters.Excellent research, writing, and analytical abilities.Proficiency in managing litigation tasks and courtroom procedures.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to handle complex cases and work effectively under tight deadlines.Collaborative and team-oriented approach with a focus on client service and strategic case management.
