LyondellBasellBasic FunctionThis position is responsible for leading and directing all facets of the Global Supply Chain Centers of Excellence.
The incumbent develops and implements the Global Supply Chain strategy for Governance and Centers of Excellence that supports the company and business unit strategies. They are responsible for the processes and systems used to support the Global Lead to Cash processes including process flows, training documentation, and vendor/customer integrations. They develop the data strategy, tools, metrics, and reporting used to run Global Supply Chain as well as the annual budget and benchmarking activities.
Builds and maintains strong relationships with different external and internal, direct and indirect stakeholders. This position has 5-8 direct reports, a global team of 90 people.Roles & ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Global Supply Chain Centers of Excellence (CoE) aligned with corporate objectives.
Global Governance: Ensure compliance with global supply chain policies, standards, and regulations, maintaining high levels of governance and ethical standards.
Business Process Standardization and Continuous Improvement: Establish and enforce standardized processes, methodologies, and best practices across the global supply chain. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain processes and reduce costs.
Technology Integration: Oversee the integration and implementation of advanced supply chain technologies and systems.
Project Management: Lead and manage key supply chain projects to ensure they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Data Analytics & Performance Metrics: Utilize data analytics to gain insights and make informed decisions to improve supply chain performance. Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance supply chain performance and efficiency.
Benchmarking: Conduct benchmarking studies to identify best practices and performance standards in the industry.
Innovation: Drive innovation in supply chain operations through the adoption of new technologies and practices.
Training and Development: Lead the development and delivery of training programs to build supply chain capabilities and knowledge across the organization.
Sustainability in Supply Chain: Promote and implement sustainable supply chain practices in line with corporate social responsibility goals.Min. QualificationsAt minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or Finance requiredMaster's Degree or MBA in relevant field preferred15 years of experience in positions with increasing responsibility in supply chain, purchasing, materials management, or similar customer facing role, of which at least 5 years in supervisory roleFluency in English requiredWorking knowledge of one or more other European languages preferred
This role requires strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, as well as a deep understanding of global supply chain best practices within the plastics and chemicals industry.
