API Developer
to join our team. Ideal candidate will be
based San Antonio, TX,
and willing to work at Randolph Air Force Base at least one day per week, with the possibility of occasional travel (less than 10%).
Responsibilities:Analyze existing legacy application interfaces and suggest where APIs can provide improvementsElicit requirements for, design, develop, and test application programming interfaces (APIs) to AWS-hosted applications using Mulesoft or AWS API GatewayDesign, develop, and test Linux scripts to automate chains of tasks executed separately and/or manuallyAnalyze faulty or underperforming scripts or application behaviors by debugging/troubleshooting them and remediating themIntegrate with other team members who are developing and maintaining data repositories (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses) and the data pipelines that feed themWrite and update documentation for system configurations, procedures, and training materialsBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or any STEM field8+ years of experience as a software engineer2+ years of experience developing RESTful APIs with Mulesoft, AWS API Gateway, Java, Python, Linux/Shell scripts, Perl, JavaScript, or C#5+ years of experience with object-oriented analysis and design techniques using Java, C#, or Python1+ year of experience with software version control tools, such as GitPreferred Qualifications:
CompTIA Security+ certificationExperience with SalesforceExperience with Informatica PowerCenterExperience with software development planning tools, such as Jira or ServiceNowExperience with application, server, and tool administrationAWS certificationExperience as a consultantExperience with public sector customersExperience with US Air ForceSecurity Clearance Requirements:
US citizenship with a Secret level clearance.Physical Requirements:
Must be willing to commute to Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, TX, at least one day per weekMust be able to travel (10% or less)Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations and thus must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
