Clinical responsibilities include measuring and recording vital signs, collecting demographics or medical information, preparing patients for examination, cleaning rooms, and stocking supplies. The successful candidate may also be required to draw blood or perform waived testing on specimens and administer medications.Required Skills and QualificationsEducation:
Graduation from a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy/physiology, medication administration basics, and completion of a clinical externship OR graduation with an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Diploma.
Experience:
None required; previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in an ambulatory clinic setting, is preferred.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.Carry out delegated tasks as directed by supervisors or with provider oversight.Proficient computer skills.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Certification from a recognized program by CoxHealth: CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), CCMA (NHA), NRCMA (NAHP), or LPN.BLS must be obtained within 90 days.
