Job Title: Commodity Manager/Procurement Analyst
Job Description
The Commodity Manager/Procurement Analyst will be responsible for advanced sourcing, strategically negotiating Long Term Agreements with the supply base, timely processing of request for quotes (RFQ), purchase orders, and building and maintaining supplier relationships to negotiate the best pricing and delivery. The manager will oversee other buyers' work product and ensure the efficient procurement of goods.
ResponsibilitiesHands on working manager handling accountsStrategically negotiate Long Term Agreements with suppliers.Timely processing of request for quotes (RFQ) and purchase orders.Supplier and vendor performance managementManagement of a team that has been 10 plus buyers within the departmentBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships to negotiate best pricing and delivery.Oversee the work product of other buyers.Engage in advanced sourcing and procurement activities.Conduct analysis and forecasting for exceptionally long lead times compared to customer usage.Manage physical inventory control.Essential Skills
Purchasing and management experience in the aerospace industry.SAP procurement and managementProficiency in PowerBI and Excel, including V-lookups and complex formulas.Experience dealing with manufacturers and other suppliers.Demonstrated skills in contract negotiations.Minimum of 5 years of sr. procurement or purchasing experience.Minimum of 5 years of aerospace fastener buying experience.3 years of proposal development experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors or 5 years experience as a commodity manager within AerospaceExperience with fasteners and distribution.3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, Excel, inventory control, sourcing, negotiation, and supply chain.Work Environment and Employee Value Proposition Benefits
Opportunity to work a 9/8/80 shift (every other Friday or Monday off). Onsite Monday to Friday, no work from home. Great work environment with frequent luncheons, raffles, and company outings, such as events at Dave & Buster's and offsite Christmas parties. Increase at conversion with successful completion of temporary status guaranteed, complete benefit package at conversion effective on the 1st day of the month, and potential for a 2025 annual bonus of $20,000 minimum based on individual and company performance metrics.
