Supporting aircraft worldwide, Parker Aerospace’s Military Flight Controls Division (MFCD) provides primary and secondary flight control systems that make flight possible. Position Summary
The purpose of this position is to plan, develop and implement a variety of human resource strategies to provide effective human resource services for corporate staff departments and group world headquarters. This position requires an individual to act as an employee champion, change agent and business partner for corporate functional areas while providing organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Proposes and initiates specialized projects and implements programs requiring a thorough understanding of human resources processes and their strategic impact on the business. This position will support functional areas at meetings that influence business strategies (e.g. talent development, succession planning, performance management, strategy deployment, strategic workforce planning, etc.)
Responsibilities
Employee Relations:
Acts as an employee champion and change agent to encourage employee engagement in the business
Collaborates in the formulation and implementation of department goals, policies and procedures to ensure effective delivery of human resource services to customers
Provides guidance for compliance with regulatory agencies, e.g., EEOC, OSHA
Continuous improvement and automation of HR processes such as staffing, on-boarding, development, etc.
Directs the administration of health and safety programs including risk management, wellness programs and other appropriate health initiatives
Works with functional leaders to implement high performance teams in functional areas
Talent Management:
Provides leadership for the Corporate Talent Strategy efforts to ensure the highest level of talent development and retention
Responsible for leading a world class talent development process that drives the process of attracting and retaining the right talent. Must focus on the right mix of global talent, skills / competencies and diversity. Will ensure critical functional initiatives are resourced effectively
Champions and manages the implementation and continuous improvement of the Performance Management and Talent Programs. Consults with groups and corporate staff to develop and implement talent identification processes/succession plans and other career development initiatives
Leads Strategic Workforce Planning sessions for corporate functions to help strategically align goals and objectives
Assists in assessing needs, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating corporate training initiatives; ensure training is directly related to business goals
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Psychology or related discipline. Master's Degree Preferred
Minimum 5 years of progressive HR generalist experience and responsibility including prior human resource management role (with supervisory experience)
Broad knowledge of human resource processes administration and applicable government laws and regulations
Must have experience leading a performance management and talent development process
Demonstrated excellence in project management, communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate large groups of people at all levels of the organization
Client–Service Orientation:
An optimistic, solutions oriented, accountable leadership style balanced with a practical approach is critical
Experience in maintaining a nonunion presence or in the administration of a collective bargaining agreement including grievance investigation, responses and participation in contract negotiations desirable
