Work Schedule Monday - Friday (06:00am - 02:30pm) Sensitive Position No Job Description General Description: This position assists Facility Manager in administration of all contracts and policies that are in force at the campus ( campus may vary ).

Duties and Tasks: Assists in preparations of contract specifications, purchase orders, contractor meetings, and all other matters relating to contract administration. Perform inspections as required by contract (s) and Department and College policies, and prepare contractor performance reports and expertise in managing service contracts. Ensure that contractors comply with all contract requirements and Federal, State and College regulations and procedures through supervision, inspection, and evaluation of contractors. Maintain file of current safety-related policies and procedures. ( OSHA , HAZMAT , Fire Safety, etc) Exercise independent judgment in all areas of applying prescribed policies, procedures, and technical knowledge. Ensure college contracts are properly utilized. Assist campus staff with the development and preparation of specifications, for additional contracted work requested on campus. Schedule contractor meetings and coordination of work. Ensure compliance of contract specifications. Monitors work to ensure activities were performed per purchase order or contract and or documents. Perform inspections to ensure compliance. Ensure invoices are accurate when work is complete and approved in a timely manner.

Employees must reside in Virginia, Maryland or District of Columbia. Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. KSA's/Required Qualifications KSAs:

Considerable knowledge of all aspects of the construction principles, building codes fabrication or manufacturing techniques; Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications. Working knowledge /demonstrated ability to evaluate contractor performance and to interpret and apply guideline to specific actions. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with groups utilizing Word, PowerPoint, Graphing programs, Schedules and Excel.

Required Qualifications:

Experience in construction related trade and contract preparations, building codes, procedures. Valid Driver’s License and insurable driving record. Experience with service contracts. Experience with any Computerized Maintenance Management System. Additional Considerations Additional Considerations: Experience working in one or more construction trades in a college/education setting. Knowledge of eVA procurement system. Knowledge of VCCS policies and procedures. Experience in commercial/public setting. Experience with Buildings & Grounds specialty equipment.
