Work Schedule Flexible with evening and weekend hours expected. There will be skill testing weeks with higher demands during the course of each semester. This position allows for up to 29 hours/week. Sensitive Position No Job Description General Description: Reinforces and evaluates clinical nursing skills in campus laboratory and provides written and manual testing of nursing skills.

Duties and Tasks: Reinforces and evaluates clinical nursing skills in campus laboratory and provides written and manual testing of nursing skills. Works collaboratively with Nursing Faculty to develop lab policies, skills testing and integration of psychomotor skill in the nursing curriculum. Sets up laboratory for student practice of skills. Assists in the development of laboratory schedule for faculty and students. Maintains laboratory supplies, equipment and inventory. Completes purchase requests for new equipment and supplies as requested. Cross trains and works with campus simulation center staff and nursing faculty as needed. Hours may be a combination of day and evening hours and may include weekends.

Employees must reside in Virginia, Maryland, or the District of Columbia. Special Assignments May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor. KSA's/Required Qualifications Required KSAs:

Knowledge of individual and group teaching techniques. Registered Nurse skills reflected by current occupational experience and knowledge as an RN. Ability to demonstrate their work with students of various backgrounds and educational levels Ability to advise students and provide remedial tutorial assistance Ability to evaluate student course work Ability to operate lab equipment and instruct others on how to utilize equipment efficiently Excellent communication Skills both written and oral. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Minimum Qualifications: Masters in Nursing or related field, or equivalent applicable experience or training. Registered Nursing License in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Experience working in a clinical practice/nursing environment. Additional Considerations Additional Considerations Experience in clinical nursing practice in acute care setting. CPR certified.
